To expalin how your income can be increased by organization, let's just build a scenario.

We'll say you have been online for a while and figured a few things out. You've got most things down, except organization. We'll further assume that your immediate goal is to earn a modest sum of $5000 a month, and that for now you are willing to work 30 hours a week. What does this have to do with income?

$5000 a month divided by 126 hours is $39.68 per hour. Lack of organization costs you $39.68 in lost income. Now, that's just an example. You'll have to use your own goals and work time expectations to figure your worth. The point is that you can increase your income by developing organization.

How to develop organization and increased income

Your time as a business person needs to be spent conducting business and related tasks that lead to increased income. It is important to develop a method of organization that works for you and practice it until it becomes habit.

How much income generating time do you waste looking for files, trying to find something in your favorites, or sorting through email? Work up a system of organization that works for you. Name files in such a way that they grab your attention. Organize the files on your hard drive in a manner that works for you and is efficient.

Naming files with eye catching names can help, but you have to develop a system, so you can find what goes with each project you may be working on.

Create folders and sub-folders in your favorites. Be sure to follow up and file correctly. When you start out, you can make a cheat sheet on index cards to keep track of what goes where. This does take a little time in the beginning, but will pay off handsomely as you train yourself to develop good organizing habits. In time you will memorize these facts and automatically know where to file things and better yet, where to find them when you need them again.

Email can be a real time waster. Most IP's allow several email identites. I use each identity for a specific purpose. Newsletters go to one, affiliate info to another and so on. Whatever your needs are. I reserve one email identity for the very crucial things.

You can also use organization at your hosting mailboxes. Most hosts allow many email boxes. Name them specifically. I use one for directory submissions, one for link to us and often set up one for a specific short term project. This way you know where everything is and what needs immediate attention.

Arranging your mail this way makes scanning through them easy, so you can quickly sort, find what you need and delete what you don't need. Email can overtake you in a short period of time if you don't keep it organized and easy to maintain.

Ocassionally designate some time to spring cleaning. It doesn't have to be spring. Go through your folders and files, re-organize if necessary, delete what you no longer need and generally tidy things up. This goes for email as well. Give your email boxes a good look now and then and spiff things up. Delete what you don't need. Clutter is a time waster and cuts down on the income-producing time you have available.

Increase your income now. Get organized, practice, and it will soon become a habit that saves time you can spend earning extra income. You can spend saved time writing new content, finding new products to sell, or building another income generating website. Develop some organization and experience increased income today and into the future.
